WHAT DECISION TO MAKE?

2025-04-14 03:00:00

He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes out and defects to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be as a prize to him.

' Jeremiah 21.9 '

We need to make wise decisions at all times. That way, we won't be in the hands of the evil one, who sends his temptations when we least expect it. Judah's choice involved living free or going into captivity. If they chose to live free, they would have to hide so as not to be found. If they were in Jerusalem, where Babylonian fury could be seen, there was a great chance that they would be killed.

In everyday life, we are confronted by provocation or danger, when, for example, a mugger says: “Money or life”. Often armed, they also run the risk of being shot by the person they're approaching, even if they seem peaceful, or by someone standing near them with a gun. Everyone around them could be hurt. Only God can help at a time like this.

It's good to be in communion with God, without any sin. Otherwise, we are separated from the Lord and run the risk of being the victims at the wrong time and in the wrong place. One of the promises to keep in our hearts is this: No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your tent (Psalm 91.10). Often, a person decides to leave where they are, and minutes later tragedy strikes!

Anyone who lives in the presence of God should be wary of doing business with anyone, even if they are known to him and have a reputation for honesty. It may be that, because they are in trouble, they take out a “loan” to get urgent money, if they see the opportunity. Only the Lord can help. This is how he put it: Without Me you can do nothing (John 15:5c). God is faithful!

Be prudent! Depending on the situation, you may be asked to save someone who has fallen into the water, but if you can't swim and the place is deep, you will both drown. Imagine that, during a service, a church member has a stroke and dies. The family of the deceased then asks the pastor to resurrect the person, but he doesn't know how to listen to the Lord and, in the face of despair, obeys the family, only for the dead person not to return. Jesus declares: Without Me you can do nothing.

Walk with the Lord, being righteous before Him. In a situation similar to the one mentioned by the prophet, God will help you decide. Now, if you surrender to the enemy, the people will not forgive you. If you stay in the city, you could also be killed. But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in Him (Psalm 37:39,40). God does what's best!

Never get involved in the confusion of men, but continue as a wise servant, faithfully following the Word. When the Lord directs our steps and we obey Him, no threat or trap from the devil will prosper against us. Believe and live!

           In Christ, with love,

Todays Prayer

Lord of our deliverance! There are brothers and sisters in Christ living in risky places, where the bad element rules and stray bullets are a constant. But if we have You as our Father, Savior and Protector, nothing bad will happen to us. You are our true Guardian!

We are in Covenant with You, in which the promises concern us. Therefore, Your servant will trust You to protect him and his family. Deliver the one who loves You, so that the enemy will not be victorious. Why did Judah stray so far from you?

Let's leave hypotheses aside. We don't need to think about them, but believe that we are Your people, guarded by You. A thousand will fall on our side and ten thousand on our right, but we will not be hit. We thank You for Your guarantee and responsibility!

CHOOSE THE WAY

2025-04-13 03:00:00

Now you shall say to this people, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death’

' Jeremiah 21.8 '

It's amazing, but many people haven't given their full attention to the Word of God and have gone down paths shown to them by the devil. This is serious! Man was made to walk with the Most High, absolute Lord over all things. Human beings are responsible for all the evil practiced on earth. If God's servants dedicated themselves to speaking of Christ's love and teaching how to use His Name, they would lead the lost to the Light!

There are two paths before us and which will we follow? The holy and powerful Word makes a difference in our lives, because it teaches us to act like Jesus, healing the sick and freeing the oppressed from the unfruitful works of darkness (John 14.12). The Lord requires us to present Him to the people. In this way, the world will be better and we will live well. But near Christ's return, things will get worse!

Jesus showed us how to behave. In the days of the Master's ministry, the Roman Empire did what it wanted in Israel; after all, it had conquered not only Judah, but also the whole region and, with an iron fist, made everyone submit to Rome. However, not once did the Son of God speak out against Rome, encouraging the people to pray for the liberation of their country. Only this would happen when the true Gospel was known by everyone in the Promised Land.

They could choose the path of life, knowing the Savior and doing His will, or be a sinner without limits. Now, the Kingdom of God is not of this world, so we don't need to have the slightest involvement with the things of this life. By serving the Lord, we will receive from Him the resources we need to work in His harvest. Those who love God know how to fulfill God's commands and never what the devil urges them to do.

There is nothing better than using the Name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11). Before this Name, the angels in Heaven, men on Earth and demons - who, figuratively speaking, are under the earth - will bow their knees and confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God. Obey God's will and the Father will bring the solution to humanity's problems, bringing everyone the knowledge of the Truth and the blessings inherent in salvation. You will be collaborating with the nation!

Whoever chooses the path of life makes the best choice. With God in charge, you will never be prevented from loving Him. Our love for the Lord is different from the love of religious people because, when we are born again, we understand the will of the Most High for us and the people around us. We are not interested in material goods, but in everyone receiving Jesus as their Savior. That's all man can achieve here.

Taking the road to death, on the other hand, is the worst decision. Those who do this live far from God, as if He were not love. Furthermore, they never receive healing for their ills or live a righteous life before the Lord. If you follow this path, be sure that you will go to eternal perdition, from where you will never come out. Give yourself to Christ now and do good!

           In Christ, with love,

Todays Prayer

God of the gift of life! By receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord, we come out of darkness into eternal life in Heaven. We don't want to give the enemy something that could harm us, but rather announce the opportunity for the unsaved to be regenerated!

We look at the world full of problems and refuse to be one more cause of the evils that already abound. We want to offer the lost the chance to decide for the good. Then, with Your blessing, they will be happy now and forever!

Look at the people who live on the margins of life, being used and abused by those who don't yet know You. We cry out on behalf of all those who need to know You as the Good Shepherd. Lord, give them Your mercy!

THE DELIVERY OF THE KING OF JUDAH

2025-04-12 03:00:00

And afterward, says the Lord, “I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence and the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life; and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword. He shall not spare them, or have pity or mercy”’

' Jeremiah 21.7 '

The inhabitants of the kingdom of Judah didn't learn from the destruction of Samaria, the part that had been separated from them for more than 300 years. They acted like that kingdom and, as a result, would be sent into Babylonian captivity. But first they would suffer enough to know why they hadn't been spared. Many people call themselves Christians but continue to sin. If they don't repent, they will end up in the lake of eternal torment. You have to be born again to enter heaven (John 3).

The punishments began to afflict them in a heavy and unbelievable way. Even though they had received the divine warning that they would be sent to Babylon, where they would face extremely severe hardship, they did not change their ways. And so they were delivered into the hands of their enemies. The authorities and the people were completely bewildered, until the bad time came and they had to obey their new masters and march into slavery.

The plague killed many, but the Hebrews didn't believe that their transgressions were responsible for the suffering and didn't even think about turning back to God. After the pestilence, the war broke out, and the sword killed another part of them. Even so, they didn't bother to search the Scriptures to find out how they should proceed. So the heirs of promise were handed over to their master, who held them captive for 70 years with an iron fist.

Finally, the famine came, and even when they saw their people dying of starvation, they didn't remember the heavenly warnings. And because they didn't repent, they continued to perish. We see the same picture today. Even families who have lost members to the Covid-19 pandemic have forgotten what they suffered. Stray bullets and violence no longer scare them and they remain far from God!

Judah has not remembered the Lord's Covenant with David, which said that if the children of the beloved king, a man after God's own heart, stopped following the Most High, they would not be protected. They would be handed over to Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon. They would suffer the worst punishments at the hands of their adversaries. Now, those who have accepted Jesus and served Him with love and dedication must never give in to the threats of the evil one. God is faithful!

The rebels would be wounded by the sword with no chance of being spared and would not be able to obtain mercy from anyone. That's the way the world is today, which only thinks about carnal pleasures, gaining advantages and accumulating wealth in an honest way or by resorting to corruption and theft.

The Lord will hold our actions to account. Unfortunately, many people profit from dishonesty and commit evil against the innocent. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or bad (Ecclesiastes 12:14). The country is rich, and wealth needs to be distributed well!

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God, just Judge! It's sad to see people who should set a good example diverting resources for their own personal desires. The people of Judah didn't see their own error when they encouraged idol worship to the detriment of the Truth!

Its inhabitants suffered pestilence, sword and famine at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar and his people. Thus, they became deserving of the announced punishment. Father, You teach us to treat others as we would like to be treated. We ask for mercy!

We don't just want to be forgiven; we want to be transformed into Your faithful children. You will help us to do Your will, and we will serve You with integrity of heart, mind and strength, as the Scriptures teach. You are our example!

GREAT PESTILENCE

2025-04-11 03:00:00

I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they shall die of a great pestilence.

' Jeremiah 21.6 '

Here is the good and true news for humanity: there is still time for everyone to be saved. After Jesus' second coming, there will be no more salvation (Luke 13:24-27). That's why we must preach the Word in season and out of season, so that those who believe our preaching will be saved (2 Timothy 4:2). This is also the worst time, because many people are deceived about the future, thinking that being a member of a good church will guarantee that they will go up with Christ to Heaven. The Bible doesn't say that (Matthew 7.21-27).

God was furious with Jerusalem, the city of the great King, because the people disobeyed God's rules. Those who receive Jesus as Savior and Lord have their sins forgiven, but some are unaware that many of their practices are forbidden in the Holy Book. If they don't abandon them, they will never be on the right side of Christ and will go into eternal fire. You may say, “It's not fair to judge like that,” but it will happen!

Those who lived in the kingdom of Judah only wanted to prosper, to enjoy the good things of life and the pleasures of the flesh, disregarding the Word. Ignorance of the Bible doesn't free anyone from guilt for sin committed; however, in order for everyone to know what the guidelines of Scripture are, they must be ministered to the lost. The person who goes to church just once in a while can’t make excuses for not knowing about the error.

The Hebrews had been taken out of Egypt, where they had no value and no hope that the Lord could save them from Pharaoh's fury. God took them to the Promised Land and made them understand the difference between right and wrong. However, because they prospered and only thought about worldly life, they didn't care about sinning against the Word. Today, there are those who say that life is theirs and do with it as they please. Life is Jesus, and to sin is to deny Him as Lord (John 14:15).

We have been taken out of the world ruled by the devil, but before that, just as with the children of Israel, there was not the slightest hope that we would be freed from Satan and his demons. Christ has set us free, and His love has made us children of God, which is why the Word exhorts us: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). Meditate on this warning and honor the Lord!

The Father loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to deliver us from hellish captivity. God placed our iniquities, transgressions, pains and infirmities on Jesus (Isaiah 53:4,5). However, many reject this fact, and this is serious. The Bible declares: But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:15,16). Accept Jesus and be saved now!

Those who stray from the Way to Heaven will encounter all kinds of suffering. The great plague announced in the verse under study is real and symbolizes spiritual death - eternal separation from the Creator. This eternal plague will be the companion of those who are not born again to a life with Christ.

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

Lord, eternal Father! We come to You to confess Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives. Serving You is a pleasure we don't want to give up, nor do we want to think about doing it. After all, returning to the world of sin would be the worst thing we could do!

The people of Judah suffered for not bowing down to You. You would be their God and save them from the wickedness of Babylon. Because they had given themselves over to iniquity, living outside of biblical permission, they would suffer the predicted curse. They didn't take care of themselves!

God, many pray with me now, concluding that they need to be saved and blessed by the work done by Jesus on the cross of Calvary. Now, they beg Your favor. Give them forgiveness and healing, and act against the forces of darkness!

GOD AGAINST HIS PEOPLE

2025-04-10 03:00:00

I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger and fury and great wrath.

' Jeremiah 21.5 '

Why do some people decide to stand against the Lord if He is the Almighty? The devil has zero chance of winning this fight. Jesus has already defeated him in Hell itself, taking from him the authority stolen from Adam, with which he was oppressing us (Colossians 2:12-15). Today, we are well informed of our rights and so, when threatened, we should go into battle without fearing anything: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).

In Jeremiah's day, the ruling elite of Judah decided to despise God's Word, and the Babylonians, who had devastated Israel, attacked the rebellious children of Jacob. It was the divine hand working against their rebellion, and it lasted 70 years. The Bible talks about the antichrist who will come with power to dominate the whole Earth, because man has decided to fall into his hands (Revelations 13). There are countries and big businessmen who are preparing for the coming of the man of sin.

The Eternal declares that He will fight against the rebels with His hand outstretched, and this means a great opening for the false prophet to lead those who reject Jesus to defile themselves in the worst way (2 Thessalonians 2.9-12). Then, when they are worshipping the madman who is to come, Christ will return and destroy him with His breath: And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming (v. 8).

By attesting to their leader's falsehood, the lost will desperately cry out for forgiveness and make promises, but because they have rejected God's patience in giving them what they need, they will not be heard. They will see the splendor of the Lord's second coming and move around, crying and begging to be accepted, but it will be too late. The wise must seek the Savior now, because at His return, no one else will be saved (Luke 13:24-28).

The strong arm of the Most High will be too heavy on the antichrist, and everyone will witness his destruction. Then, when they see that there is no way to find someone who can stand up to Jesus and His power, they will cry out for mercy and will not be heard, because they have despised the Master's warnings. Salvation is more serious than people think. The person who despises the Lord thinks they can deceive Him, but that will never happen!

He will come with indignation on those who exchanged Him for the liar sent by the devil, who indulged their desires, providing them with an easy life, sin at will and no commitment to God and His work. Those who choose the wide gate and the broad way will be condemned to eternal torment. Today is the day of salvation; therefore, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as at the provocation (Hebrews 3.15).

Jesus' return will take place after man turns more and more to sin, disregarding the biblical warnings. God calls him to repent, and his iniquities will be blotted out (Acts 3:19). Unfortunately, many who follow me and read this message will go astray and be lost forever. I pray for their salvation now!

             In Christ, with love,

             R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God, who calls us! Many reject Your invitations to change their lives, and that's not good. They need to take action now to have their sins forgiven and be transformed. Father, look at us and help us, for we long for You!

As Jesus taught, deliver us from temptations and from this evil world. We long to be in Your hands, from which no one can snatch us. But those who don't want to believe in You today will later see Your glory and feel that they made the wrong choice. May they turn to You right now!

We want to see You fighting on our behalf, not against us with Your hand outstretched in wrath, indignation and fury. We need to return to Your arms of love and persevere to the end without being surprised!

MEANINGLESS QUESTION

2025-04-09 03:00:00

Please inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful works, that the king may go away from us.

' Jeremiah 21.2 '

The Israelites of Judah asked the prophet Jeremiah to ask the Lord a meaning question. They said they didn't understand why Nebuchadnezzar, the wicked king of Babylon, was waging war against them. Those who don't have the God of peace and security are often attacked by the forces of hell. As the Scriptures reveal, man needs to know himself and know how to act in order to free himself from the devil's onslaughts (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

When we ask the Most High incoherent questions, we won't be answered. There can only be communion with God if man repents of his mistakes, confesses them and asks for complete deliverance from them. There must be mutual trust between God and man, remembering that the heavenly Father knows the human heart. It is impossible to deceive the Omniscient One!

If Judah had been doing the right thing, the enemy forces would not have defeated them. However, being out of covenant with the Lord, God's people broke through the wall of fire that protected them, and Satan entered with his evils (Zechariah 2:5). Get right with the Most High, and no harm will come to you. Those who play with their faith need to understand that God guards His faithful servants. On the other hand, if you are in sin, evil will attack you. The Lord is just!

Living in God's presence, we will rest under His shadow, as the psalmist declares: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91.1). Why do many people not take God's warnings seriously? Because they love darkness. And this is the condemnation: that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3.19).

God's people dared to speak to Jeremiah, who had already warned them about the Babylonian king's invasion of Judah, in which he would take his best citizens captive, saying that it could be that the Most High would work with them according to His wonders. This was what the Lord was proposing; all that was needed was for the Israelites to repent of their sins. The people and the authorities were so wrong that God did not act on their behalf.

Many families leave the church and, when the situation gets out of hand, ask God's servants for prayer. When we say that a lack of communion with the Father causes evil to arise, they promise to return to serving Him, but this doesn't always happen. If they receive the healing of the sick person or the solution to the crisis, they will return to their error. No one can deceive the Lord, who is the Truth.

Imagine what it will be like on the Day of Christ's return, when the great power of Heaven is witnessed! Those who have strayed from the faith will despair, crying out for mercy, but it will not be granted. This is the time to get right with God.

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God, Savior of humanity! Seeing the way some church members act makes us worry. Some claim to be saved, but don't live as such, equating themselves with the people of the kingdom of Judah!

It is necessary to serve You wholeheartedly, as You establish in the Word. Your right hand would never fail to stop any evil threat against Your saints. Unfortunately, many do not seek You, sin and do not repent of living in the flesh!

The Israelites wanted to know why Nebuchadnezzar was going against Judah. They thought that if you listened to their request, You would overthrow the king of Babylon, giving them their freedom and working wonders in their midst as in the past. They acted like children. Mercy, Father!

NEITHER RIGHT NOR LEFT

2025-04-08 03:00:00

Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil.

' Proverbs 4.27 '

There is only one way to Heaven: Jesus, as He Himself revealed. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6). Anyone who misinterprets a revelation of the Bible, denying it or adding to it, walks off the only Way that leads to the father. The Lord doesn't say that He will fight with anyone who doesn't believe in Him, but he warns that any decision to reject the Truth means giving in to the lie - the devil.

When nothing had been created in the world, the Son coexisted with the Father. The Holy Scriptures mention the Messiah: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1.1). At every command of the Father, the Son fulfilled it: All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1.3). Jesus is one of the persons of the Holy Trinity and the one responsible for creation.

We have one goal in life: to look to the Savior in order to be blessed and able to overcome everything that comes against us. Looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Whoever turns to the right or to the left will never receive a blessing, but will be frustrated in life.

The Galatians were taught by Paul to serve Christ according to biblical precepts. They were doing well, but soon false doctrines arose, and the apostle sent a letter that serves all of us who are on the Lord's path. It says: “You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?” (Galatians 5:7). Those people strayed from life and peace in God, letting themselves be led astray by those who had no fear of God. Persevere until death!

Being a student at the apostle Paul's school did tremendous good for those who felt God's call to ministry in their hearts. Among those who had this privilege was Demas. Paul mentioned this lucky man who, when he was tested, allowed himself to be carried away by the world. The apostle said: “For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed to Thessalonica - Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia” (2 Timothy 4:10). Do the work!

Sooner or later, we will be tested and, if we lean to the right or to the left, we will take our focus off God's plan. In this way, we will not be looking to the Lord, but to the enemy, who has already begun to overcome us. Jesus declared: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Look to the Savior!

Finally, the apostle said that we should take our foot off evil, referring to the bad thoughts to be discarded immediately. When we listen to the servants of the enemy, we will suffer afflictions, because everything that comes from the devil kills, steals and destroys (Jn 10:10). Be firm in your faith in Christ!

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God, our Target! We want to focus on You, so that we don't become corrupted by practices that can change our character. That's why we will never let ourselves be led astray by evil, but will look to You, the Author and Finisher of our faith!

The command is never to turn to the right nor to the left, but to keep our attention on You, Father. You know how to lead us to success, and the enemy also knows that he can't touch us if we don't bow down to him.

We must take our foot off evil, because sooner or later You will put the head of hell under our feet. It is good to be Your servant, to live in Your grace and to do Your will. Use us, God, according to Your purpose. You bought us with Your blood!

WHO TO GIVE THANKS?

2025-04-07 03:00:00

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

' Psalm 97.12 '

The righteous are operators of God's justice, because, having been born again, they can exercise their rights and gifts received from Heaven, to do as Jesus said: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (John 14.12). Never allow the promises to go unfulfilled in your life: It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Law to fall away (Luke 16.17).

The righteous were born again because, upon receiving the gift of repentance, they accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. They confessed their sins and were saved - washed in the blood of the Lamb of God and sanctified in the Word. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11). In the world of perfection, nothing wrong is written on their “records”, so when they die, they will go to Heaven!

I don't know how you live, but God's command is: rejoice in Him. Therefore, the simple fact of not fulfilling this command separates us from faith and from what divine power will do in and for us, when we determine the blessing revealed in the Word and believe (Psalm 32.11). If you're sad, complaining about everything, even the Lord, and don't follow His guidance, confess your mistake right away and ask for the Lord's joy (Nehemiah 8:10)

No righteous person can accept their prayers going unanswered, but must act like the widow who pestered the unjust judge and made him judge her cause: Then the Lord said, 'Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall not God avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? (Luke 18:6,7). In the Master's explanation, it's clear that she wouldn't have gotten the answer if she hadn't persevered in supporting her request!

The righteous are part of the redeemed, so consider the parable of the lost sheep, when Jesus explained that the Good Shepherd left the 99 sheep in the fold and went in search of the one that had gone astray. Have you fallen into sin? Christ is looking for your soul without condemning you: What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? (Luke 15.4). Jesus is the Man!

With the Savior's death, the righteous became the very righteousness of God: For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Who never knew sin? The Father, for His Son knew sin not by having done wrong, but by suffering for our mistakes. In Jesus, the heavenly Father has made us His righteousness. That's why we can and must demand an end to all evil!

The righteous can give praise in memory of the Lord's holiness. After all, He clothes them with power to do His work just as His only begotten Son did in our midst. Start determining your rights in Christ right away. The only condition for this is to believe (John 11:40).

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

Lord of our joy! We cannot let the devil keep us in defeat and sadness, for we have Your command to rejoice in You. Forgive us for not doing our part as Your children. We often demand our deliverance from You. You are the same!

We must rejoice in You, in Your words and in Your work. Fulfilling this command will strengthen us. We must reject the lies of the enemy, accusing us of things we were tempted with and didn't do!

We give praise in memory of Your holiness, which did not let the devil deceive us. By doing your will, we will be sanctified in Christ, as Your Word says. We thank You for giving us Your grace!

THOSE CONFUSED BY IDOLATRY

2025-04-06 03:00:00

Let all be put to shame who serve carved images, who boast of idols. Worship Him all you gods.

' Psalm 97.7 '

The Bible forbids the use of images, as well as the worship of any saint or miracle worker. The only One who should be worshipped is in Jesus' response to the devil, when he showed Him the kingdoms of the world and their glory, saying: All these things I will give You if You fall down and worship me (Matthew 4.9). See how bold the deceiver is, for he tempted even the Master by offering Him a bargain: Jesus would worship him prostrate and the enemy would give Him all that!

We must never consider the devil's proposals. Whoever accepts his favor will pay a high price. We can be sure that the adversary favors no one, for he has only come to kill, steal and destroy. Upon hearing the evil one's proposal, Jesus replied: Away with you, Satan! For it is written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve (Matthew 4.10). Watch and pray!

The decree has come from the throne of God and clearly tells the worshippers of graven images, as well as those who design, manufacture, sell or have them in their homes, that they are under the authority of the evil one. The Lord rejects this practice, which leads idolaters to suffer the consequences of their actions. The Most High decreed: You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth (Exodus 20:4).

Adam didn't obey God's command and ate the fruit, so he was expelled from God's presence. In the same way, whoever does not obey the Creator is under the authority of the king of darkness: You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me (Exodus 20:5). Abhorring the Most High, who only wants our good, brings a lot of harm!

Whoever invokes the forces of Hell is under the curse decreed by the Most High in the Scriptures. In Psalm 115, after saying that every idol is worthless - it has eyes and they see nothing; it has ears but they cannot hear, and its hands do not touch - the author said: Those who make them are like them, so is everyone who trust in them (Psalm 115.8). Why are people interested in the forbidden? God knows!

Those who trust in idols will see that they have made the worst mistake of their lives when they stand before the judgment seat of eternity, having rejected the Lord's Covenant. Then what will their fate be? They will hear the voice of the Most High saying: Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25.41). Why not believe the Truth?

On the Great Day, the so-called gods will prostrate themselves before the Savior, begging for His favor, but it will be too late. Today is the day to make the right decision: to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. There is nothing better than getting right with God, the Creator of everything, for from Him we came and to Him we will return!

In Christ, with love,

Todays Prayer

God, only Lord! Why is it that some people, even though they have the testimony of the Truth, do not bow down before You or confess that they are sinners? They miss out on Your love, which could make them happy forever. Help them to know You!

Your Son, our Savior, said that we must be born again, come out of Satan's clutches and be transported to Your Kingdom of love. Unfortunately, there are people who prefer to run the risk of losing themselves by living a promiscuous life!

We want to become citizens of Heaven, but nothing we say will improve our situation, except that we are lost. That's why we need to accept salvation and the new birth. Because of the sins we used to live in, we have nothing to offer You, but make us Your children and faithful servants!

WHAT REALLY MATTERS

2025-04-05 03:00:00

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

' John 4.24 '

It is of immense value to know that God is not equal to man, but man was created by the Lord to be in Him and to live with Him (Genesis 1:26,27). We are the only ones with a body that will rise from the dead and with a spirit created in the likeness of the Most High (2 Corinthians 5:1). This divine project will only be shown in Heaven. So, in order not to lose this blessing, we were saved from perdition. Then we will know the Father as He knows us (1 Corinthians 13:12).

To worship is to pay homage to God and, by keeping His commandments, we won't suffer eternal loss. We have to teach new converts to stand firm in the faith; otherwise, the world's appeals will get in the way. Those who are experienced in the faith and in resisting the devil must help those who are allowing themselves to be deceived by the evil one, when he places his temptations in front of them to destroy them. The firm action of the faithful pleases God!

The Word says that true worshippers don't let the devil deceive newcomers to the house of the Lord. There is little use in selecting a series of words to recite before God if there are brothers and sisters following the deceiver. We must evangelize in order to snatch the lost out of the fire (Jude 1:23), but they can be tempted to abandon the path, making our work in vain. Helping them is essential!

In order to reach the Samaritan woman, Jesus went out of His way, which was the shortest way to Jerusalem, and led that precious soul to understand God's plan. The Word says that He needed to go through Samaria (John 4.4). She did the same with the men of Sychar, and they went to meet the Master. With this act, the Lord showed how we should worship the Father, without saying empty words, while there are so many people perishing in sin.

Jesus gave us the mission to evangelize the world: And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations (Mark 13:10). Will we glorify God with beautiful words, but empty of content, or will we go out into the world, preaching the message of the cross? We must proclaim the Lord's love, for we have been found and commissioned as His faithful worshippers.

Worshipping God in spirit and in truth is our noblest mission, and those who succeed in doing so will live happily ever after. As well as being successful in this life, they will achieve full victory in Heaven. King David was called “the man after God's own heart”, because he worshipped God as He wished. Are you going to settle for what the Lord has not planned for your life? Get up and do the work!

Queen Esther wondered whether or not to speak to her husband, King Ahasuerus. Then Mordecai, the uncle who had brought her up, sent the following message: “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4.14). Be a worshipper!

           In Christ, with love,

Todays Prayer

Beloved Lord! You found us among the lost and saved us. We can say that we know Your will, but the devil is trying to trap us and prevent us from fulfilling Your commands. But now we rise up to praise You!

Like David, we are worshippers to serve You in spirit and in truth. Therefore, we take our stand before You and demand that the evil in our path, leading us astray and causing us suffering, leave now in the Name of Jesus!

We accept the command to worship You as You have planned. For Your glory, we command embarrassment, temptation and affliction to leave our lives and go to the depths of the sea. We declare ourselves delivered and empowered worshippers in You!

THE TIRELESS SEARCH

2025-04-04 03:00:00

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

' John 4.23 '

Man is capable of making any sacrifice to find the Lord, but all he has to do is believe in what He says in the Scriptures. God has put in His Word the sure guidelines for us to walk in His presence, without having to sacrifice anything. Understand: what can we give to the One who owns everything, from animals to precious stones, including us? The Most High is the Creator of all things and our Father!

Everything passes in this life, including governments, whether well-meaning or not. Unfortunately, apparently humble people ask for our vote and, once elected, steal our tax money. No country will grow if there are people like that. Consider it an obligation to cry out to the Lord to deliver us from corruption (1 Timothy 2:1-3). The country needs a righteous people!

Jesus warned that the time was coming for true worshippers to have their place in the Sun, so they should learn the art of worshipping God. That way, the people could learn to do it too. We worship the Lord for what He does for the suffering and the lost. We praise Him for the salvation that is available to humanity. Be faithful, and God will give you the perfect crown of life!

With the coming of Christ, the biblical promises would be fulfilled in the lives of those who believed. Today, we don't have to wait any longer to enjoy the rights guaranteed by God in His Word. When you discover a promise, claim it. Then, when you know what has been done on your behalf, - such as the forgiveness of your sins, the healing of illnesses and eternal life, which is a free gift from the Most High - take hold of it immediately through your prayer (Ephesians 2.8).

The Master declared that there are true worshippers and the Father is looking for them. On the other hand, many play at faith, joining in with the tares. They will be plucked up, bound in bundles and thrown into the eternal fire (Matthew 13.24-30; 36-43). Why do some prefer to walk this path? Well, they could humble themselves before the Most High and be saved and forgiven of their iniquities. Those who are firm in their faith in Christ, walk securely, without fear of Judgment.

True worshippers can enter the Lord's presence to give Him the praise He deserves; they have been brought to the Father for this. The world will soon be in great confusion, as Jesus said: For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. This are the beginning of sorrows (Mark 13:8). Jesus is our Ark of Salvation. Go to Him!

The heavenly Father never tires of casting His eyes over humanity, seeking to see those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. It's good to prepare to be found by Him in order to be spared the impending chaos. There will be no safe place to hide from the suffering that humanity will face. Take refuge in Jesus (1 Thessalonians 1:10)!

           In Christ, with love,

Todays Prayer

Lord, worthy of worship! There is nothing better than giving You good and perfect worship. But if we haven't reached this position yet, it's our own fault. That's why we want to receive more guidance from You, so that we don't miss out on this good deed!

We must know the signs of the times, so that we don't miss the moment indicated as the best to worship You in the beauty of Your holiness. We long to be in Your presence, so we beg Your favor. In this way, we will live in faith in Christ!

Worship that is pleasing to You is worship that we dedicate with a heart forgiven and washed in the blood of Christ. So help us never to stumble on the Way to our happiness. As well as being grateful for our salvation, our pleasure is to worship You, giving You glory and honor!

THEY WORSHIPPED THE UNKNOWN

2025-04-03 03:00:00

You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.

' John 4.22 '

It's sad to see people who claim to be followers of God's Word doing things that distance them from Him. They worship what they don't know without any idea of how to get to the Lord. Many waste their time with religious acts, making wrong decisions that don't lead them to God's presence, so they continue to suffer. We have a big job to do: to talk about Christ!

It's not just because we're evangelicals that we can teach people the Truth. Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and serving Him were our best decisions. However, we need to live the revealed Word, which will continue to be expanded as we read the Bible and meditate on it: But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more until it is perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).

Worship improves as we understand better who we are, what we can do and what the Lord expects of us. When we learn our rights in Christ, we act clearly until our last day in the world. The more we know how to worship, pray and take possession of God's gifts, the better off we will be. After all, we want to be overcomers in all things through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).

We can compare the worship of someone who doesn't know the Lord to a person who has bought a car and doesn't know the traffic laws. They may even go somewhere driving the vehicle, but they are likely to commit some infractions and, worse, cause accidents with material damage and loss of lives. However, if she learns the basics of driving, she will improve until she is a good driver.

The Samaritans strove to worship God, like that woman who was in sin and didn't realize it. She felt that she was living outside of God's will, because she recognized that she didn't have a husband, but was living with a man as if he were her husband. How many people engage in wrong practices in the marital bed, even though they are married according to the law? When suspicion arises in your heart about something, ask the Lord for guidance.

Many people give in to a certain sin even though they know it's wrong, because it's always been considered normal in their family. However, when they are convinced by the Holy Spirit that their attitudes are unbiblical, they must ask for forgiveness and abandon the error: Foods for the stomach, and the stomach for foods; but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body (1 Corinthians 6:13).

Those who obey God worship what they know. You see, salvation comes from the Jews, from the Word that was sent to them, but they refused it: He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him (John 1.11). So Israel missed the time of the Savior's visitation. But Christ has come, and whoever accepts Him will become children of God (John 1.12). Life is in Jesus, receive Him now!

           In Christ, with love,

          R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God, eternal Master! It is a pleasure to live before You as a beloved and legitimate child. We have received Your Son as Savior and Lord, so we have been forgiven of all sins and have come to serve You as You planned!

Our worship, inspired by your Holy Spirit, is fully accepted by Your kind heart. Thus, after praising You, we leave with the sure direction to go before evil and order it to retreat!

It's good to be a child, because we can cry out, knowing that we will be answered. We can also see Your operations being carried out. Father, we thank You for Your goodness in enlightening us and for the authority to do the same works as Christ!

THE MASTER’S REPLY

2025-04-02 03:00:00

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father”

' John 4.21 '

Jesus said that anyone who asks in His Name will be heard, and this leads us to believe in Him. The Savior didn't make it difficult for us to go to the Father, as long as we use His Name: Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full (John 16:24). It's time to make an effort to gain access to the blessings of the Most High. So let's be quick to ask and to give thanks too!

In Holy Scripture, you'll find a thousand reasons to put your faith in the Master. Your petitions made in His Name will be answered according to the heart of the Father and not of man. Every biblical promise has the Savior's yes, so you can claim it. To do this, read the Word and meditate on it. In Christ, you are more than a conqueror over all things (Romans 8:37).

In the world, there are many things that seem to come from God, but they are nothing more than the speculations of people who invent premises out of their hearts lost in crime. Now, it doesn't matter what title someone receives, but what the Most High promises to those who give Him credit. Jesus said: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

The Samaritan woman asked the Master about the right place to worship God. As her people were not Jewish, but claimed to be God's too, she pointed to Mount Gerizim for this practice. Anyone who wants to get life right needs to believe in the Scriptures and abandon religious teachings. Christ declared: Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away (Matthew 24.35). The Word of the Lord is eternal!

Jesus was clear in saying that the act of worshipping God did not depend on being in a specific place. For example, nothing would be better or worse if it were in Jerusalem, even though it was the city of the Great King. In fact, true worship must be done in spirit and in truth (John 4.24). Religions suggest special places, but what matters is that it is done with heart, soul and strength. That way, the blessing will come!

Worshipping God is not about filling Him with nice words and feeling important. This act is like receiving food for the body, but it is our spirit that rises, and we come close to the Lord. The Most High is a true Father and loves to draw us into His presence. He strengthens us to pray with power from on High and to put the devil under our feet (Romans 16:20). Believe to live the faith!

The hour mentioned by Jesus in the verse has already come. He has stripped away the devil and the forces of the kingdom of darkness, which can no longer prevent us from talking to the Father in Heaven. When we are under the Lord's command, we worship Him in our hearts, speaking of His love bestowed upon us and our trust in Him. In Christ Jesus, we love God!

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

Lord, our Father! No matter where we are, the curse that kept us from coming to You has been broken, and the way is open for us to come to You, praising and magnifying You!

The woman was in doubt about where to worship You, but You taught her that it's not the place, but the purpose: in spirit and in truth. In this way, we will have Your help and we will be victorious in our battles!

Now, we raise up our voices against everything that tries to stop us from doing what You want us to do. God, be glorified by our actions. May we bear good witness and honor Your holy Name. We are grateful that You speak the Truth to us!

WHERE YOU SHOULD WORSHIP

2025-04-01 03:00:00

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.

' John 4.20 '

Wise was the Samaritan woman! She went to fetch water just when the Living Water was beside Jacob's well. The biblical patriarchs dug wells of natural water where their descendants quenched their thirst. In the New Testament, these springs symbolize Jesus, the Living Water, who makes whoever accepts Him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4.14). The woman let God guide her by asking the right questions to discover the Truth. Christ is the Truth we need to know in order to please the Father. Believe and pray!

Inside everyone there is a desire to see God's work on behalf of the afflicted. You don't have to climb mountains or spend hours crying out to the Lord. He answers through the Word. Everyone would be successful if they believed in the Gospel - the Good News: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek (Romans 1.16). What will your attitude be?

There was a great religious controversy in those days - that the Son of God came to Earth to save people from eternal damnation, caused by Adam's sin. Some believed in prayer on a certain mountain in Samaria; others said that Jerusalem was the place to worship God. In fact, wherever we are, we can seek God to receive His guidance. We find Him in the Word. He is omnipresent!

The heart of man is the temple of the Holy Spirit, where we serve Him with love and loyalty. We must live what we learn from the Lord, and not become disoriented and desperate. We have to abandon our religious childhood and move on to the adult life of true faith in God; after all, we have grown up and no longer have to act like children (Luke 7.32). The way out of problems is to act according to the Word!

It doesn't matter if you're in Israel or anywhere else. The important thing is to keep your heart clean by confessing your mistakes and with the forgiveness of Heaven. It is time for true worshippers to worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). When you feel touched by the Word, cry out to the Lord about that revelation and don't forget to take hold of the information you've gained from the reading. The right answer will give you victory!

The Samaritans insisted that God should be worshipped on Mount Gerizim, and the Jews said that the appropriate place was Jerusalem. However, as the biblical writings did not reveal this, we must forget such things and carry out our worship as the Savior said: in spirit and in truth. The Old Testament points to the facts of the New Covenant. That's why avoiding religious rituals is a good thing!

We have a hill to climb - the presence of God. This place is not physical, but where we find God's promises for our lives. Whenever reading the Scriptures reveals something to you, meditate on it until faith arises in your heart. Pray, and God will give you understanding.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God of the right answer! We praise Your Name that grants us blessings! That encounter by Jacob's well was led by You, so that our faith would not be placed in so-called holy places or things, but rather in the revelation of Your Word.

Knowing what has been given to us by Christ and using Your Name, we can put an end to the evils that attack us, saying: “In the Name of Jesus, we rebuke every evil and send it away never to return”. We are grateful for the authority granted to us.

From now on, we become victors over suffering. Just as Jesus did in the storm on the Sea of Galilee, we also command evil operations to cease now. May there be peace, health and happiness in the lives of those who pray right now!

I PERCEIVE THAT YOU ARE A PROPHET

2025-03-31 03:00:00

The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

' John 4.19 '

The good that Jesus did to the Samaritan woman led her to confess that Christ was special, a prophet, and He didn't deny it. In the same way, we will see people from every corner of the world taking part in God's glory and being healed of their ailments. Those who love the Lord can start praying that the promised great revival will come, and that divine power will bring all sorts of blessings and make the saved successful in their faith!

God's servants can and must be filled with the Holy Spirit and thrive on the gifts given by Him. In this way, their testimonies will reach those who hear them. The Church of the first century, created by the apostles, joined the Lord in the mission of giving the Bread of Life to the lost. As a result, it became strong in its faith in Christ, and new converts joined the apostles to continue the task assigned to Christians as the Most High had planned (Acts 2:42-47). You can be part of this work!

The only way to preach the Word successfully is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then, when we open our mouths, we will see the lost stunned, confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior. This is entirely possible; all we have to do is believe. God expects much more from us than we think we can give. That's why we have to stand up only for the work of the Most High, which needs to be known by everyone.

Christians must be taught to practice the gifts of the Spirit, bearing witness to the Truth and rejecting sin. In this way, they will be instruments of the Lord, bringing the world to the feet of Christ. Many who claim to be saved are unaware of the responsibility that lies on their shoulders: to lead their families and other lost people to Jesus. Allow God to use your life in this time of blessing?

If the congregation is in the presence of the heavenly Father, it will be involved with Him in such a way that the most hardened sinner will be speechless, but the grace and love of God will lead him to declare that the Lord is among us, as Paul said: And thus the secrets of his heart area revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you (1 Corinthians 14:25).

People need to be taught that they don't go to church just to receive blessings, but to learn the Word in order to bring the knowledge of the Lord to everyone. Then they will receive Jesus into their lives and will be made children of God. The Church of Christ must have a variety of spiritual gifts, so that people enter and never think of leaving. Don't ever let the devil destroy your ministry, but stand firm in Christ and become a blessing.

Jesus' return is fastly approaching, and millions will be lost without seeing the power of God at work on their behalf. They won't be able to be sure that the work comes from the Most High. Therefore, it is necessary to put an end to doubt, get right with God and start living according to what the Scriptures prescribe. If the wicked see the Almighty at work, they will turn to Him. Believe in the One who made you in His image and likeness and receive eternal salvation. God is faithful to forgive your transgressions. Believe!

           In Christ, with love,

           R. R. Soares

Todays Prayer

God of the true work! What happened when Jesus met the Samaritan woman will happen to anyone who thirsts for the Truth. Then, being saved, they will also be able to do the same works as Christ. This is the standard of Heaven for those called by Your Name. It's time to fulfill Your good will!

Your Son was used by the Holy Spirit, and the woman was amazed as she saw Your power manifested through Jesus. That same power will work wonders in our day. You are the same!

The world still doesn't know Your genuine action, because it confuses everything with religion. Through our lives, You will make people see the difference between good and evil, and they will seek You out. In firm and sincere prayer, Your Name will be invoked and glorified!
